Taking note further of the proposal of the Secretary-General to amend the Charter of the United Nations University in accordance with article XII thereof, made after consultation with the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization and the Council of the United Nations University,
وإذ تحيط علما كذلك بمقترح الأمين العام تعديل ميثاق جامعة الأمم المتحدة وفقا للمادة الثانية عشرة منه، والمقدم بعد التشاور مع منظمة الأمم المتحدة للتربية والعلم والثقافة ومجلس جامعة الأمم المتحدة،

1. Approves the following amendments to the Charter of the United Nations University:
1 - توافق على التعديلات التالية على ميثاق جامعة الأمم المتحدة:

the Charter of the United Nations University provides that capital and recurrent costs of the University shall be met from the voluntary contributions to the University or from income derived therefrom.
وينص ميثاق جامعة الأمم المتحدة على أن تسدد التكاليف الرأسمالية والتكاليف المتكررة للجامعة من التبرعات التي تقدم إلى الجامعة أو من الإيرادات المتأتية من التبرعات.

The Board was informed that the Council of the University, at its fortieth session in December 1993, had adopted terms and conditions for personnel engaged under personnel service agreements pursuant to article V, paragraph 3 (c), and article VIII, paragraph 7, of the Charter of the United Nations University.
وأُعلم المجلس بأن مجلس الجامعة اعتمد في دورته اﻷربعين في كانون اﻷول/ديسمبر ١٩٩٣ " شروط انتداب الموظفين في اطار ترتيبات الخدمة الخاصة، عملا بالفقرة ٣ )ج( من المادة الخامسة والفقرة ٧ من المادة الثامنة من ميثاق جامعة اﻷمم المتحدة " .
