6. Calls upon all States, international organizations and specialized agencies not to recognize any alteration of the status of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol on the basis of the above-mentioned referendum and to refrain from any action or dealing that might be interpreted as recognizing any such altered status.
6 - تهيب بجميع الدول والمنظمات الدولية والوكالات المتخصصة عدم الاعتراف بأي تغيير في وضع جمهورية القرم المتمتعة بالحكم الذاتي ومدينة سيفاستوبول على أساس الاستفتاء السالف الذكر، والامتناع عن اتخاذ أي إجراءات أو القيام بأي معاملات قد تفسر على أنها اعتراف بأي تغيير في ذلك الوضع.

By a letter dated 19 July 1993 addressed to the President of the Security Council (S/26109), the Permanent Representative of the Russian Federation to the United Nations transmitted the text of the statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation on 11 July 1993 in connection with the resolution of the Supreme Council of the Russian Federation regarding the status of the city of Sevastopol.

Also calls for the protection of all human rights in all of Ukraine, in particular in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol in issues related to, inter alia, citizenship, right of residence, labour rights, property and land rights, access to health and education, peaceful assembly, and the freedoms of expression, association, religion and belief;

The resolution adopted on 9 July 1993 by the Supreme Council of the Russian Federation regarding the status of the city of Sevastopol departs from the policy followed by the President and the Government of the Russian Federation in upholding Russian interests as regards matters relating to the Black Sea fleet and in maintaining bases for the Navy of the Russian Federation in the territory of Ukraine, in the Crimea and in Sevastopol.
