1. ١- إذا تلقت اللجنة معلومات موثوقاً بها تبدو لها وكأنها تتضمن دلائل لها ما يدعمها أن الاختفاء القسري يجري بانتظام أو يمارس على نطاق واسع في اﻹقليم الخاضع لرقابة دولة طرف، تدعو اللجنة تلك الدولة الطرف إلى التعاون معها على فحص المعلومات وإلى أن تقدم لهذا الغرض ملاحظات فيما يتعلق بالمعلومات المعنية.
