8. Finland has also participated in the discussion on the future of the CSCE disarmament and the development of the confidence- and security-building measures after the CSCE Review Conference at Budapest in 1994.

By a letter dated 13 June 1996 (S/1996/433), the Secretary-General transmitted a communication from the representative of the Chairman-in-Office of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE), describing progress achieved in implementing the confidence- and security-building measures in Bosnia and Herzegovina stipulated in article II of the Agreement on Regional Stabilization.

All steps undertaken by the Government of Bulgaria in developing annual working plans for dialogue and cooperation in the military sphere between Bulgaria and the North Atlantic Cooperation Council (NACC) and Bulgaria's participation in the Partnership for Peace Programme should also be considered in the overall context of Bulgaria's policy in favour of strengthening the confidence- and security-building measures regime.
