The Committee frequently stressed to both Member States and its partners the need to convene a meeting of the High Contracting Parties to the Fourth Geneva Convention, with a view to determining practical collective measures needed to enforce the Convention in the Occupied Palestinian Territory.
وقد أكدت اللجنة في كثير من الأحيان لكلٍ من الدول الأعضاء وشركائها ضرورة عقد اجتماع للأطراف السامية المتعاقدة في اتفاقية جنيف الرابعة، وذلك بهدف تحديد التدابير العملية الجماعية اللازمة لإنفاذ الاتفاقية في الأرض الفلسطينية المحتلة.

15. The resolution reiterated the recommendation that the Government of Switzerland, in its capacity as depositary of the Geneva Convention relative to the Protection of Civilian Persons in Time of War should reconvene as soon as possible a Conference of High Contracting Parties to the Fourth Geneva Convention on measures to enforce the Convention in the Occupied Palestinian Territory.
15 - وقد كرر القرار توصيته لحكومة سويسرا، بصفتها الحكومة الوديعة لاتفاقية جنيف المتعلقة بحماية المدنيين وقت الحرب، بأن تعقد من جديد في أقرب وقت ممكن مؤتمراً للأطراف المتعاقدة السامية في اتفاقية جنيف الرابعة بشأن تدابير إنفاذ الاتفاقية في الأرض الفلسطينية المحتلة.

27. In paragraph 1971 (c) of its report, the Mission recommended that the General Assembly should ask the Government of Switzerland to convene a conference of the high contracting parties to the Geneva Convention relative to the Protection of Civilian Persons in Time of War on measures to enforce the Convention in the Occupied Palestinian Territory and to ensure its respect in accordance with its article 1.
27- وأوصت البعثة، في الفقرة 1971(ج) من تقريرها، بأن تطلب الجمعية العامة من حكومة سويسرا عقد مؤتمر للأطراف المتعاقدة السامية في `اتفاقية جنيف الرابعة المتعلقة بحماية المدنيين وقت الحرب` بشأن اتخاذ تدابير لتعزيز الاتفاقية في الأرض الفلسطينية المحتلة ولضمان احترام هذه الاتفاقية وفقاً للمادة 1 منها.

The Assembly recommended in its resumed emergency special session, on 15 July 1997, inter alia, the convening of a conference of the High Contracting Parties to the Geneva Convention on measures to enforce the implementation of the Convention in the Occupied Palestinian Territory.
لقد أوصت الجمعية العامة في دورتها الطارئة المستأنفة، التي عقدت في ١٥ تموز/يوليه ١٩٩٧، بجملة أمور، منها عقد مؤتمر للدول اﻷطراف في اتفاقيــة جنيف الرابعة للنظر في كيفية ضمان احترام تنفيــذ أحكام الاتفاقية في اﻷراضي الفلسطينية المحتلة.

30. Mr. Khalil (Observer for Egypt), referring to the draft programme of work, said that, in paragraph 18, greater emphasis should be placed on the need for the High Contracting Parties to the Fourth Geneva Convention to convene a conference to determine practical collective measures needed to enforce the Convention in the Occupied Palestinian Territory.
30 - السيد خليل (المراقب عن مصر): قال، مشيراً إلى مشروع برنامج العمل، إنه ينبغي زيادة التركيز في الفقرة 18 على ضرورة قيام الأطراف السامية المتعاقدة في اتفاقية جنيف الرابعة بعقد مؤتمر لتحديد التدابير العملية الجماعية اللازمة لإنفاذ الاتفاقية في الأرض الفلسطينية المحتلة.

(c) The Mission recommends that the General Assembly should ask the Government of Switzerland to convene a conference of the high contracting parties to the Fourth Geneva Convention of 1949 on measures to enforce the Convention in the Occupied Palestinian Territory and to ensure its respect in accordance with its article 1;
