The geographical position and economic potential of the Economic Cooperation Organization region, which has oil and gas reserves and abundant mineral resources as well as a rich cultural and literary heritage, provide the necessary ingredients for sound and sustainable economic growth in various fields within the region and strong economic relations with neighbouring countries and regional economic groups.
