In the event, the UN Security Council has no other authority or function other than enforcing the delimitation and demarcation determinations of the EEBC which are final and binding in accordance with the Algiers Agreement.

Reaffirming its full support for the work of the EEBC and welcoming the decision of the EEBC to convene a meeting with the parties on 6 September 2007 in New York,

Acknowledging the Statement of the EEBC of 27 November 2006,
وإذ يحيط علما ببيان لجنة الحدود الصادر في 27 تشرين الثاني/نوفمبر 2006،

No matter how indignant we may have been initially, we have now, in the interest of peace and having weighed all relevant factors, decided to accept in principle the decision of the EEBC.
ورغم الاستياء الذي ربمـا نكـون قـد شعرنـا بــه في البداية، فقد قررنا الآن، حرصا على مصلحة السلام وبعد ترجيح جميع العوامل المهمة، قبول قرار لجنة الحدود بين إريتريا وإثيوبيا من حيث المبدأ.

:: الطرفين إلى أن " ينفذا بالكامل دون مزيد من التأخير أو أي شروط مسبقة قرار لجنة الحدود وأن يتخذا خطوات ملموسة لاستئناف عملية الترسيم " ؛

This reads as follows: " Members of the Security Council call on Ethiopia to implement fully the EEBC decision " .
ونصها كما يلي: " يدعو أعضاء مجلس الأمن إثيوبيا إلى تنفيذ قرار لجنة الحدود تنفيذا كاملا " .

Expressing its full support for the work of the EEBC and acknowledging the Statement of the Eritrea-Ethiopia Boundary Commission (EEBC) of 27 November 2006,
وإذ يعرب عن تأييده الكامل للعمل الذي تقوم به لجنة الحدود، ويـُـقــر ببـيـان لجنة الحدود بين إريتريا وإثيوبيا، المؤرخ 27 تشرين الثاني/نوفمبر 2006،

The UN Security Council has legal and security obligations to enforce the final and binding decisions of the EEBC.
