Data obtained by the Argo Programme floats in the EEZ would be made freely available to all States, except where such data is of direct significance for the exploration and exploitation of natural resources, whether living or non-living, and a formal request for non-distribution has been made.

52. Ships of all States enjoy the freedoms of navigation and overflight in the EEZ and on the high seas, as well as other internationally lawful uses of the sea related to these freedoms and compatible with the other provisions of the Convention.
