In paragraph 10 of its resolution 56/208, the General Assembly requests the Secretary-General, in consultation with the Institute and United Nations funds and programmes, to continue to explore ways and means of systematically utilizing the Institute in the execution of training and capacity-building programmes for the economic and social development of developing countries.

7. The General Assembly, in resolution 54/229, paragraph 10, requested the Secretary-General, in consultation with the Institute and with United Nations funds and programmes, to continue to explore ways and means systematically to utilize the Institute in the execution of training and capacity-building programmes.
7 - طلبت الجمعية العامة إلى الأمين العام في الفقرة 10 من قرارها 54/229 أن يواصل، بالتشاور مع المعهد وصناديق الأمم المتحدة وبرامجها، استطلاع السبل والوسائل الكفيلة بالاستفادة من المعهد على نحو منتظم في تنفيذ برامج التدريب وبناء القدرات.

3. The present report deals with issues relating to the development of the programmes in cooperation with other institutions within and outside the United Nations, respecting a flexible and effective division of labour as proposed by the Joint Inspection Unit and systematic utilization of UNITAR in the execution of training and capacity-building programmes.
٣ - ويتناول هذا التقرير القضايا المتصلة بوضع البرامج بالتعاون مع المؤسسات اﻷخرى داخل اﻷمم المتحدة وخارجها، بأسلوب يراعي التوزيع المرن والفعال للعمل، وفقا لما اقترحته وحدة التفتيش المشتركة، ويكفل الاستفادة المنظمة من المعهد في تنفيذ برامج التدريب وبناء القدرات.
