(a) To reverse the settlement policy in the occupied territories, including East Jerusalem and the Syrian Golan and, as a first step towards their dismantlement, to stop immediately the expansion of the existing settlements, including " natural growth " and related activities;
(أ) أن تتخلى عن سياستها الاستيطانية في الأراضي المحتلة بما فيها القدس الشرقية والجولان السوري، وأن تقوم فوراً، كخطوة أولى نحو تفكيك المستوطنات، بوقف توسيع المستوطنات القائمة بما في ذلك لدواعي " النمو الطبيعي " وما يتصل بذلك من أنشطة؛

In light of the above, the Committee wishes to take this opportunity to call upon the Government of Israel immediately to stop its illegal policy and actions aimed at creating facts on the ground through, inter alia, establishing new and expanding the existing settlements, stifling the Palestinian economic development and livelihood and denying the Palestinian people its inalienable rights.

19. Security Council resolution 446 (1979) stated that the policy and practices of Israel in establishing settlements in the Palestinian and other Arab territories occupied since 1967 had no legal validity and constituted a serious obstruction to achieving a comprehensive, just and lasting peace in the Middle East, and Security Council resolution 465 (1980) called upon Israel to halt settlement activity and dismantle the existing settlements.
19 - وواصل حديثه قائلا إن قرار مجلس الأمن 446 (1979) ينص على أن السياسة والممارسات الإسرائيلية المتعلقة بإنشاء المستوطنات في الأراضي الفلسطينية والأراضي العربية الأخرى المحتلة منذ عام 1967 ليست لها شرعية قانونية وتشكِّل عقبة خطيرة في سبيل تحقيق سلام شامل وعادل ودائم في الشرق الأوسط، كما أن قرار مجلس الأمن 465 (1980) يدعو إسرائيل إلى وقف نشاطها الاستيطاني وتفكيك المستوطنات القائمة.

We note that Israel, since it signed the Declaration of Principles and the agreement with the Palestine Liberation Organization on the Gaza Strip and the Jericho Area, has resorted to intensifying confiscation of Palestinian lands and expanding the existing settlements.
ونلاحظ أن اسرائيل منذ التوقيع على إعلان المبادئ وعلى اتفاق اسرائيل ومنظمة التحرير الفلسطينية بشأن قطاع غزة ومنطقة أريحا تكثف من مصادرة اﻷراضي الفلسطينية وتوسيع نطاق المستوطنات الموجودة هناك.
