I have the honour to submit herewith an offer from the Government of Malaysia to host the Fifteenth United Nations Regional Cartographic Conference for Asia and the Pacific, from 10 to 14 April 2000, in Kuala Lumpur.

A report summarizing the follow-up actions taken on the resolutions adopted at the Fifteenth United Nations Regional Cartographic Conference for Asia and the Pacific, Kuala Lumpur, 11-14 April 2000, will be presented to the Conference.
سيقدم إلى المؤتمر تقرير يلخص إجراءات المتابعة المتخذة بشأن القرارات التي اعتمدها مؤتمر الأمم المتحدة الإقليمي الخامس عشر لرسم الخرائط لآسيا والمحيط الهادئ، كوالالمبور، 11-14 نيسان/أبريل 2000.

Additional specific objectives were to report on the assessment of the status of the resolutions adopted by the Fifteenth United Nations Regional Cartographic Conference for Asia and the Pacific, and to report on the developments and contributions of cartography and geographical information in support of the implementation of Agenda 21.

104. At the 41st meeting, on 26 July, the Council endorsed the recommendations contained in the report of the Secretary-General on the Fifteenth United Nations Regional Cartographic Conference for Asia and the Pacific (E/2000/48, para. 16 (a) and (b)).

5. Governments are requested to adhere to the above guidelines in drafting their national reports on progress made since the Fifteenth United Nations Regional Cartographic Conference for Asia and the Pacific.
5 - ويُطلب إلى الحكومات أن تتقيّد بالمبادئ التوجيهية الواردة أعلاه لدى صياغة تقاريرها الوطنية عن التقدّم الذي أُحرز منذ انعقاد مؤتمر الأمم المتحدة الإقليمي الخامس عشر لرسم الخرائط لآسيا والمحيط الهادئ.

1. the Fifteenth United Nations Regional Cartographic Conference for Asia and the Pacific, convened in accordance with Economic and Social Council decision 1997/221 of 18 July 1997, was held in Kuala Lumpur from 11 to 14 April 2000.
1 - عُقد مؤتمر الأمم المتحدة الإقليمي الخامس عشر لرسم الخرائط لآسيا والمحيط الهادئ وفقا لمقرر المجلس الاقتصــادي والاجتمـاعي 1997/221 المؤرخ 18 تموز/يوليه 1997، في كوالالمبــور في الفترة من11 إلى 14 نيسان/أبريل 2000.

(b) That the Secretary-General be requested to take measures, where appropriate and within available resources, to implement the other recommendations made by the Fifteenth United Nations Regional Cartographic Conference for Asia and the Pacific.
(ب) أن يطلب إلى الأمين العام اتخاذ التدابير، حسب الاقتضاء وفي حدود الموارد المتاحة، لتنفيذ سائر توصيات مؤتمر الأمم المتحدة الإقليمي الخامس عشر لرسم الخرائط لآسيا والمحيط الهادئ.
