The audit was conducted primarily to enable the Board to form an opinion as to whether the financial statements were in accordance with the Financial Regulations and Rules and whether they presented fairly the financial position as at 31 December 2006 and results of operations and cash flows for the year then ended.

To verify that the Convention's financial statements presented fairly the financial position as at 31 December 2005;

3- كانت الأهداف الرئيسية المنشودة من مراجعة الحسابات هي تمكيني من تكوين رأي عمّا إذا كانت النفقات المسجَّلة في السنة 2010 قد تُكبِّدت من أجل الأغراض التي وافق عليها المؤتمر العام، وما إذا كانت الإيرادات والنفقات قد صُنِّفت وسُجِّلت على نحو سليم وفقاً لنظام اليونيدو المالي وقواعدها المالية؛ وما إذا كانت البيانات المالية تعرِض تماماً الموقف المالي لغاية 31 كانون الأول/ديسمبر 2010.

In our opinion, the financial statements of the old accounts present fairly, in all material respects, the financial position as at 31 December 2011 and their financial performance and cash flows for the biennium ended 31 December 2011 in accordance with the United Nations system accounting standards.

In our opinion, the financial statements of the new account present fairly, in all material respects, the financial position as at 31 December 2011 and its financial performance and cash flows for the period from 15 December 2010 to 31 December 2011 in accordance with the United Nations system accounting standards.

The main objectives of the audit were to enable me to form an opinion as to whether the expenditure recorded in the year 2011 had been incurred for the purposes approved by the General Conference (GC); whether income and expenditure were properly classified and recorded in accordance with UNIDO's Financial Regulations and Rules; and whether the Financial Statements presented fairly the financial position as at 31 December 2011.
2- كانت الأهداف الرئيسية المنشودة من مراجعة الحسابات هي تمكيني من تكوين رأي عمّا إذا كانت النفقات المسجَّلة في السنة 2011 قد تُكبِّدت من أجل الأغراض التي وافق عليها المؤتمر العام، وما إذا كانت الإيرادات والنفقات قد صُنِّفت وسُجِّلت على نحو سليم وفقاً للنظام المالي والقواعد المالية لليونيدو؛ وما إذا كانت البيانات المالية تعرِض تماماً الموقف المالي لغاية 31 كانون الأول/ديسمبر 2011.

In our opinion, these financial statements present fairly, in all significant respects, the financial position as at 31 December 2001 and the results of operations and cash flows for the biennium then ended in accordance with the Fund's stated accounting policies set out in note 2 to the financial statements, which were applied on a basis consistent with that of the preceding financial period.
