28. The Board continued its practice of organizing informal meetings with representatives of major producers and importers of opiate raw materials during the forty-first session of the Commission on Narcotic Drugs.

17. In his report to the Economic and Social Council (E/1997/64), the Secretary-General reported on the results of the forty-first session of the Commission on the Status of Women and other functional commissions of the Council, as well as activities by the regional commissions.

In view of the schedule of the forty-first session of the Commission on the Status of Women (10-21 March 1997), the documentation for the session should have been submitted to the Division for Policy Coordination and Economic and Social Council Affairs by 13 January and circulated by 27 January 1997.
