Recalling Economic and Social Council decision 2011/235 of 26 July 2011 providing for the extension, until 2015, of the mandate of the Gender Advisory Board of the Commission,
وإذ يشير إلى مقرر المجلس الاقتصادي والاجتماعي 2011/235 المؤرخ 26 تموز/يوليه 2011 الذي ينص على تمديد ولاية المجلس الاستشاري للقضايا الجنسانية التابع للجنة حتى عام 2015،

(viii) Encourage the Gender Advisory Board of the Commission to provide inputs to its policy deliberations and documentation, to report on progress at the annual sessions of the Commission and to better integrate gender perspectives into the science, technology and innovation policy reviews, where appropriate;

They encouraged the Gender Advisory Board of the Commission to provide inputs to its policy deliberations and documentation, and invited the Gender Advisory Board to report on progress at the annual sessions of the Commission and to consider integrating a gender perspective into reviews of science, technology and innovation policy, where appropriate.

The Economic and Social Council decides to extend the mandate of the Gender Advisory Board of the Commission on Science and Technology for Development, for a further three years, beginning on 1 January 2012, in order to allow it to complete its programme of work within the extrabudgetary resources allocated for this purpose.
يقرر المجلس الاقتصادي والاجتماعي تمديد ولاية المجلس الاستشاري للقضايا الجنسانية التابع للجنة المعنية بتسخير العلم والتكنولوجيا لأغراض التنمية مدة ثلاث سنوات أخرى، بدءا من 1 كانون الثاني/يناير 2012، من أجل تمكينه من إنجاز برنامج عمله في حدود الموارد من خارج الميزانية المخصصة لهذا الغرض.

At the same meeting, a statement was made by the member of the Gender Advisory Board of the Commission on Science and Technology for Development, who responded to questions raised and comments made by the representatives of the Philippines, Sri Lanka, the United States of America, Austria, the United Republic of Tanzania and Ghana, as well as by the representative of ESCWA and the observer for the Association for Progressive Communications.
