1. The General Assembly, in part VI of its resolution 48/224 of 23 December 1993, noted that recent judgements of the International Labour Organization (ILO), had both an administrative and a financial impact on the common system.

1. The present report is submitted in response to a request made by the General Assembly in part XVII of its resolution 61/222 on oceans and the law of the sea.

The General Assembly, in part V of its resolution 63/263, endorsed the conclusion contained in the report of the Advisory Committee on Administrative and Budgetary Questions (A/63/629) concerning the merit of an annual presentation to the Assembly of the revised estimates arising from resolutions and decisions adopted by the Human Rights Council.

The present annual report is in line with the conclusion of the Advisory Committee on Administrative and Budgetary Questions (see A/63/629, para. 10), endorsed by the General Assembly in part V of its resolution 63/263, on the merit of an annual presentation to the Assembly of the revised estimates arising from resolutions and decisions adopted by the Human Rights Council.
