It has been able to reduce dependence on oil by means of a development policy that stimulates other economic sectors. This is clear from the report on gross domestic product.

The Ministry has provided full support to the programme since its inception in 1999, pursuant to an agreement with the Government of the Kingdom of Bahrain and with support from the United Nations Development Programme. The programme continues to operate successfully through three societies based upon it: the Child and Motherhood Welfare Society, Awal Women's Association and Al-Islah Association.
هذا وقد قدمت الوزارة بالفعل كل الدعم للمشروع منذ تم البدء في تنفيذه عام 1999 بناء على اتفاق بين حكومة مملكة البحرين وبدعم من برنامج الأمم المتحدة الإنمائي، والمشروع لازال يعمل بنجاح من خلال الجمعيات الثلاث التي تقوم عليه وهي جمعية رعاية الطفل والأمومة , جمعيه أوال النسائية وجميعه الإصلاح.

There is no doubt that these high rates are the consequence of the effective role played by the Government of the Kingdom of Bahrain in implementing the fiscal policies and guidelines formulated over the last few years to channel financial resources into the economy and diversify sources of income.

عُقد في المنامة يومي 1 و 2 حزيران/يونيه 2008، كجزء من عملية الاستعراض الوزاري السنوي الذي يجريه المجلس الاقتصادي والاجتماعي، اجتماع تحضيري إقليمي لغرب آسيا عن موضوع " التحضر المستدام " ، وذلك في ضيافة حكومة مملكة البحرين.

the Government of the Kingdom of Bahrain affirms that the laws and policies of the country encourage the activities of civil society organizations and that the Government is keen to engage in dialogue and cooperation with all civil society organizations and to work with them on the basis of the partnership principle in order to ensure the success of the reform process in the Kingdom. To that end:
5- تؤكد حكومة مملكة البحرين على أن قوانين وسياسات المملكة تشجع عمل منظمات المجتمع المدني، كما تحرص الحكومة على التحاور والتعاون مع كافة منظمات المجتمع المدني والعمل معها وفق مبدأ الشراكة بما يسهم في إنجاح الحركة الإصلاحية في مملكة البحرين ومن ذلك:

the Government of the Kingdom of Bahrain confirms the information contained in its sixth and seventh periodic reports regarding the guarantees of equality and non-discrimination provided by the Kingdom's legal system. These guarantees are spelt out, inter alia, in the Constitutional provisions on the right to work, to education and to health.
16- تؤكد حكومة مملكة البحرين على ما ورد في تقريريها الدوريين السادس والسابع حول ضمان النظام القانوني للمملكة للمساواة ومنع التمييز وأن ذلك يتجلى، فيما يتجلى فيه، في النصوص الدستورية المتعلقة بالحق في العمل والتعليم والصحة.

43. Consequent upon the Opinion rendered, the Working Group requests the Government of the Kingdom of Bahrain to take necessary steps to remedy the situation of Mr. Rajab and bring it into conformity with the standards and principles set forth in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights.
43- وبناء على هذا الرأي، يطلب الفريق العامل إلى حكومة مملكة البحرين أن تتخذ الخطوات اللازمة لإنصاف السيد رجب ومواءمة وضعه مع المعايير والمبادئ المنصوص عليها في الإعلان العالمي لحقوق الإنسان والعهد الدولي الخاص بالحقوق المدنية والسياسية.

the Government of the Kingdom of Bahrain takes this opportunity to reaffirm that the Kingdom of Bahrain intends to continue implementing all relevant Security Council resolutions, including resolutions 1737 (2006), 1747 (2006) and 1803 (2008). As regards this resolution, the Kingdom of Bahrain will provide the Committee with any fresh or additional information that may come to light after the submission of the present report.
وتنتهز حكومة مملكة البحرين هذه المناسبة لتعيد تأكيد حرص مملكة البحرين على استمرار تنفيذها كافة قرارات مجلس الأمن ذات الصلة 1737 (2006) و 1747 (2007) و (1803) (2008)، وأنه فيما يخص هذا القرار، فإن مملكة البحرين ستوافي اللجنة بأي مستجدات أو معلومات إضافية قد تطرأ بعد تسليم هذا التقرير.

" (c) the Government of the Kingdom of Bahrain confirms that, in accordance with the Convention, it spares no effort to guarantee everyone the right to work, health, social security, housing and education without discrimination, and that this is reflected in the State's laws and policies and the Government's programmes.
" (ج) تؤكد حكومة مملكة البحرين أنها، عملاً بالاتفاقية، لا تدّخر أي جهد لضمان تمتّع كل فرد بالحق في العمل والصحة والضمان الاجتماعي والسكن اللائق والتعليم دون أي تمييز، وأن هذا الأمر ينعكس في قوانين الدولة وسياساتها وفي برامج الحكومة.
