1. The inclusion, as an annex to its rules of procedures, of the guidelines on the independence and impartiality of members of the human rights treaty bodies, endorsed by the chairpersons of the United Nations treaty bodies.

1. Welcomes the " guidelines on the independence and impartiality of members on the human rights treaty bodies " endorsed by the 24th Annual Meeting of Chairpersons of Human Rights Treaty Bodies, held in Addis Ababa from 25 to 29 June 2012,
1- ترحب ب " المبادئ التوجيهية المتعلقة باستقلال وحياد أعضاء هيئات المعاهدات " ، التي وافق عليها رؤساء هيئات المعاهدات في اجتماعهم الرابع والعشرين المعقود في أديس أبابا من 25 إلى 29 حزيران/يونيه 2012؛

77. The Committee further discussed the guidelines on the independence and impartiality of members of the human rights treaty bodies, (Addis Ababa guidelines, A/67/222, annex I). In this regard, the Committee adopted a decision at its fifty-first session, which is reproduced in annex IV to the present report.
77- وواصلت اللجنة مناقشة المبادئ التوجيهية المتعلقة باستقلال أعضاء هيئات معاهدات حقوق الإنسان وحيادهم، (مبادئ أديس أبابا التوجيهية، A/67/222، المرفق الأول). واعتمدت اللجنة في هذا الشأن مقرراً في دورتها الحادية والخمسين مستنسخاً في المرفق الرابع بهذا التقرير.

The Committee adopted a statement on the report of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights on the strengthening of the human rights treaty bodies, as well as a decision on the guidelines on the independence and impartiality of members of the human rights treaty bodies (Addis Ababa Guidelines) (see annex VIII).

1. The Committee on the Elimination of Racial Discrimination takes note of the guidelines on the independence and impartiality of members of the human rights treaty bodies (Addis Ababa Guidelines), and in this regard recalls its general recommendation No. 9 on the independence of experts adopted at its thirty-eighth session in 1990.
