Despite the recent success achieved by the Programme of Action, it is worth remembering that we must make every effort to take concrete actions against the illicit trade in weapons and ammunition and address with determination the issue of armed nonState actors and terrorist groups that receive and traffic in a huge number of arms that they use to attack civilian populations and democratic institutions.
