4. Also requests the Board of Auditors to continue monitoring the activities related to the Integrated Management Information System project as part of its ongoing regular audits of the financial statements;

Under agenda item 113, entitled, “Programme budget for the biennium 1998-1999”, the Committee considered the question of the Development Account and the financing of the Integrated Management Information System project.

18. The Fifth Committee considered the question of the Integrated Management Information System project at its 71st and 73rd meetings, on 6 and 12 July.

14. Further requests the Secretary-General to reduce the dependency on the current contractor by limiting additional work to the minimum required to facilitate the implementation of the Integrated Management Information System project at offices away from Headquarters, and to take the necessary measures to have additional work performed by United Nations staff or by a contractor selected after competitive bidding;
١٤ - تطلب كذلك إلى اﻷمين العام أن يقلل الاعتماد على المتعاقد الحالي من خلال قصر اﻷعمال اﻹضافية على الحد اﻷدنى المطلوب لتيسير تنفيذ مشروع نظام المعلومات اﻹدارية المتكامل في المكاتب خارج المقر، وأن يتخذ التدابير اللازمة ﻷداء اﻷعمال اﻹضافية بواسطة موظفين من اﻷمم المتحدة أو بواسطة متعاقد يتم اختياره بعد طرح عطاء تنافسي؛

22. The Chairman recalled that at the Committee’s 37th meeting, the Under-Secretary-General for Management and the Chairman of the Advisory Committee had introduced the tenth progress report of the Secretary-General on the Integrated Management Information System project (A/53/573) and the report of the Advisory Committee (A/53/7/Add.7) respectively.

21. Mr. MSELLE (Chairman of the Advisory Committee on Administrative and Budgetary Questions), introducing the fifth report of the Advisory Committee on the Integrated Management Information System project (A/51/7/Add.4), recommended that the Fifth Committee should take note of the report of the Secretary-General contained in document A/C.5/51/23 and endorse the Advisory Committee's observations and recommendations thereon.

I have the honour to transmit to the members of the General Assembly, pursuant to a request of the Advisory Committee on Administrative and Budgetary Questions, the report of the Board of Auditors on all aspects of its updated special audit of the Integrated Management Information System project (see annex).
أتشرف بأن أحيل إلى أعضاء الجمعية العامة، بناء على طلب اللجنة الاستشارية لشؤون اﻹدارة والميزانية، تقرير مجلس مراجعي الحسابات عن جميع أوجه المراجعة الخاصة المستكملة التي أجراها لمشروع نظام المعلومات اﻹدارية المتكامل )انظر المرفق(.

In paragraph 15 of that report, the Committee recommends to the General Assembly the adoption of a draft resolution regarding the Integrated Management Information System project, which was adopted by the Committee without a vote as draft resolution A/C.5/52/L.32.
