Urges Member States to contribute to the efforts of the United Nations to usher in a world free of colonialism within the context of the International Decades for the Eradication of Colonialism, and calls upon them to continue to give their full support to the Special Committee in its endeavours towards that noble goal;
11 - تحث الدول الأعضاء على المساهمة في الجهود التي تبذلها الأمم المتحدة لإقامة عالم خال من الاستعمار في سياق العقود الدولية للقضاء على الاستعمار، وتهيب بها أن تواصل تقديم دعمها الكامل للجنة الخاصة في مساعيها لبلوغ ذلك الهدف النبيل؛

With those peoples specifically in mind, the international community had launched initiatives such as the International Decades of the World's Indigenous Peoples and adopted instruments such as the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Persons.
وبعد أن عدّد المشاكل التي سبق أن أثارها وكيل الأمين العام للشؤون الاقتصادية والاجتماعية التي تواجهها الشعوب الأصلية، بالإضافة إلى التغيرات المناخية والأزمة الغذائية، أشار إلى أن المجتمع الدولي اعتمد، من أجل هذه الشعوب بالذات، مبادرات مثل العقود الدولية للشعوب الأصلية، وصكوك دولية مثل إعلان الأمم المتحدة بشأن حقوق الشعوب الأصلية.
