On 23 June, the International Donor Conference for the Recovery and Reconstruction of the Palestinian Refugee Camp at Nahr Al Bared had taken place in Vienna and had helped secure funds to rebuild the refugee camp in Northern Lebanon.

In that regard, I would like to express my appreciation for the support extended by Member States at the International Donor Conference held in Vienna on 23 June for the reconstruction of the Nahr al-Bared camp, where an initial sum of $112 million was pledged.
وفي هذا الصدد، أود الإعراب عن تقديري لما قدمته الدول الأعضاء من دعم في مؤتمر المانحين الدولي الذي عقد في فيينا في 23 حزيران/يونيه من أجل إعادة إعمار مخيم نهر البارد، وتم التعهد فيه بدفع مبلغ أولي قدره 112 مليون دولار.

The Commission urges its members and others to support UNRWA's appeal for the reconstruction of the camp and the support of displaced refugees living in neighbouring communities and to live up to the pledges made at the International Donor Conference held in Vienna in 2008.
وتحث اللجنة أعضاءها وغيرهم على دعم نداء الأونروا من أجل إعادة بناء المخيم ودعم اللاجئين الذين يعيشون في المجتمعات المجاورة، والوفاء بالتعهدات التي قطعوها على أنفسهم في مؤتمر المانحين الدولي الذي عقد في فيينا عام 2008.

They also welcomed the holding of the International Donor Conference for Reconstruction and Development in Darfur and emphasized the need for donors to swiftly deliver on their pledges.

In that regard, he expressed his delegation’s gratitude to the United Nations bodies and other international organizations that had collaborated in the organization of the International Donor Conference on the resettlement of former deportees who had returned to the Republic of Crimea, and thanked the donor countries for their generous contributions.
