At its 8th plenary meeting, on 28 April 2005, the Economic and Social Council decided to hold an event on the morning of Wednesday, 13 July 2005, entitled " Economic and Social Council event to consider the issue of the transition from relief to development " , on an informal basis, as follows:
قرر المجلس الاقتصادي والاجتماعي، في جلسته العامة 8، المعقودة في 28 نيسان/أبريل 2005، أن ينظم حدثا، صباح الأربعاء 13 تموز/يوليه 2005، بعنوان " حدث المجلس الاقتصادي والاجتماعي للنظر في مسألة الانتقال من الإغاثة إلى التنمية " على أن يكون الحدث غير رسمي، على النحو التالي:

The European Union furthermore believes that the issue of the transition from relief to development should be considered in an integrated manner involving both humanitarian and development actors.
