(d) Two other violations occurred in the joint security area in June 1997. The first took place on 8 June when an armed KPA soldier crossed the military demarcation line in the vicinity of marker 0100 and remained on the UNC side for four minutes before returning.

(h) In yet another armistice violation, on 21 December 1997 a KPA security guard in the joint security area intentionally stepped across the military demarcation line and remained on the UNC side for approximately three minutes, under the direct observation of the UNC guards, before going back north.
