4. The COP9 Bureau together with the Managing Director of the GM and the Executive Secretary, and taking into account the views of other interested relevant entities such as the host countries and International Fund for Agricultural Development, took action as requested in accordance with the requirements of operational paragraph 9 of Decision 6/COP9 as delineated in 3 (a) above, to undertake and supervise such an evaluation.

25. Following the provision contained in decision 10/COP.3, the report by the Managing Director of the GM, prepared in response to the provision of the Convention and pertinent decisions of the COP, is contained in ICCD/CRIC(4)/4.
25- وتطبيقاً لما نص عليه المقرر 10/م أ-3، يرد في الوثيقة ICCD/CRIC(4)/4 تقرير المدير العام للآلية العالمية الذي أُعد استجابةً لأحكام الاتفاقية ولمقررات مؤتمر الأطراف ذات الصلة.

28. the Managing Director of the GM is responsible for preparing a two-year work programme and budget for the GM, including proposed staffing, which is reviewed and signed by the President of IFAD before being forwarded to the COP for consideration and approval.

7. By the same decision, paragraph 8, the COP requested the Managing Director of the GM to present his report to the COP at each COP session for scrutiny by the Parties and make himself available to address the concerns of Parties

This includes management of the GM's programme and budget, implementing agreed workplans and programmes, entering into agreements with donors, and employing personnel.

4. Decision 3/COP.9 also requests the Executive Secretary and the Managing Director of the GM to, inter alia:

As a specific tool for achieving this task, the Executive Secretary of the Convention and the Managing Director of the GM are requested to prepare two-year joint work programmes (JWPs), taking a results-based management approach.
ويُطلب إلى الأمين التنفيذي للاتفاقية والمدير المسير للآلية العالمية أن يُعدّا برامج عمل مشتركة لفترة سنتين، بوصفها أداة محددة لإنجاز تلك المهمة، متبعَين في ذلك نهج الإدارة القائمة على النتائج.
