On this basis, I propose that the mandate of MONUA be extended until 31 January 1999, on the understanding that the Security Council would conduct a comprehensive review of the situation by the end of November 1998.
وعلى هذا اﻷساس اقترح تمديد فترة ولاية بعثة مراقبي اﻷمم المتحدة في أنغولا حتى ٣١ كانون الثاني/يناير ١٩٩٩، على أن يكون مفهوما أن مجلس اﻷمن سيُجري استعراضا شاملا للحالة بنهاية تشرين الثاني/نوفمبر ١٩٩٨.

It is for these reasons that I recommend that the mandate of MONUA be extended for three months, until 31 January 1998.
