غير أن فترة ولاية خمسة من الأعضاء المنتخبين في الانتخابات الأولى تنتهي بانقضاء سنتين؛ وبعد الانتخابات الأولى مباشرة، يقوم رئيس الاجتماع المشار إليه في الفقرة 2 من هذه المادة بسحب أسماء هؤلاء الأعضاء الخمسة بالقرعة.

However, the term of six of the members elected at the first election shall expire at the end of two years; immediately after the first election, the names of these six members shall be chosen by lot by the chairperson of the meeting referred to in paragraph 5 of this article.
غير أن فترة عضوية ستة من الأعضاء الذين ينتخبون في الانتخابات الأولى ستنتهي عند انقضاء فترة عامين؛ وبعد تلك الانتخابات الأولى مباشرة، يختار رئيس الاجتماع المشار إليه في الفقرة 5 من هذه المادة أسماء هؤلاء الأعضاء الستة عن طريق القرعة.

It should also be noted that the conclusions of the meeting referred to in paragraph 10 of the same text would be transmitted to the Commission on Enterprise, Business Facilitation and Development in the form of a conference room paper because of the time constraints.

ونظرا لارتباطات مسبقة، فقد كلفت الدكتور جميل طاهر مدير الإدارة الاقتصادية لتمثيل الأمانة العامة في الاجتماع الاستثنائي للجنة التنسيق العليا للعمل العربي المشترك المقرر عقده في عمان في نفس الفترة، كما أنه سيقوم بتمثيل الأمانة العامة في الاجتماع المشار إليه في خطاب معاليكم.

17. The SBSTA expressed its appreciation to the Governments of Canada and Switzerland for providing financial support for the organization of the meeting referred to in paragraph 14 above and to the Government of Spain for its financial support for the implementation of activities under the Nairobi work programme.
١٧- وأعربت الهيئة الفرعية عن تقديرها لحكومتي سويسرا وكندا على دعمهما المالي لتنظيم الاجتماع المشار إليه في الفقرة 14 أعلاه ولحكومة إسبانيا على دعمها المالي لتنفيذ الأنشطة في إطار برنامج عمل نيروبي.
