In draft article 49, on the other hand, paragraph 1 (a) (i) referred to the surrender of the negotiable transport document and stated that the holder would have to identify itself under certain circumstances, while paragraph 1 (a) (ii) talked about the holder demonstrating that it was the holder of the negotiable electronic transport record.

In response to a question, it was clarified that, if more than one original of the negotiable transport document was issued, all of them would have to be collected before the negotiable electronic transport record could be issued in substitution.
وردّا على أحد الأسئلة، جرى التوضيح بأنه، إذا أُصدر أكثر من مستند نقل أصلى واحد قابل للتداول، يتعيّن عندئذ جمع المستندات كلها قبل أن يكون في الإمكان إصدار سجل النقل الالكتروني القابل للتداول بدلا منها.
