61. In conclusion, the Adaptation Committee identified ample opportunities for the NWP to support the Adaptation Committee in its work.

14. Action: The SBSTA will be invited to consider and further elaborate additional activities, including the timing of such activities in the implementation of the NWP and ways to enhance the effectiveness of the modalities of the NWP.

In response to the invitation made by the SBSTA, and having reviewed the key features, functions and agreed activities of the NWP, the Adaptation Committee identified the following three broad types of support that the NWP could provide to the work of the Adaptation Committee:

60. Annex III contains a table which summarizes the possible support that could be provided by the NWP to the work of the Adaptation Committee, including possible modalities and timing, for consideration by the SBSTA.

23. During the course of 2014, the AC has carried out collaborative activities, in particular with the Least Developed Countries Expert Group (LEG), the Standing Committee on Finance (SCF) and the Technology Executive Committee (TEC) and in the context of the NWP.

The COP also requested the SBSTA to consider, under the NWP, the issues of ecosystems, human settlements, water resources, and health.

59. Finally, regarding the engagement of stakeholders, the NWP could support the Adaptation Committee by using its broad network of partners to disseminate relevant products of the Adaptation Committee and to implement its communication, information and outreach strategy.

50. The programme facilitated knowledge-sharing among Parties, organizations, experts, communities and the private sector in relation to the NWP.
