Invoking the national responsibility and believing in the purposes and principles of the Pact of the League of Arab States and the Charter of the United Nations, Declare that we shall undertake the following:
وانطلاقا من المسؤولية القومية، وإيمانا بمبادئ وأهداف ميثاق جامعة الدول العربية وميثاق الأمم المتحدة، نعلن ما يلي:

Development of the Joint Arab Action system: amendments to some articles of the Pact of the League of Arab States
تعديل بعض مواد ميثاق جامعة الدول العربية

I. To make the following amendments to the Pact of the League of Arab States:
أولاً: إدخال التعديلات التالية على ميثاق جامعة الدول العربية:

Both the Alexandria Protocol and the Pact of the League contained special provisions affirming the Arab identity of Palestine and the right of the Arabs of Palestine to independence.
وقد تضمن كل من بروتوكول الاسكندرية وميثاق جامعة الدول العربية أحكاما خاصة تؤكد الهوية العربية لفلسطين وتؤيد حق عرب فلسطين في الاستقلال.

The same may be said of the orientations underlying the proposed amendments to the Pact of the League of Arab States.
ونفس الشيء يقال بالنسبة للتوجهات التي رسا الاختيار عليها لمراجعة ميثاق جامعة الدول العربية.

Guided by the principles of the Pact of the League of Arab States,
وإذ يسترشد بمبادئ ميثاق جامعة الدول العربية،

Guided by the purposes and principles of the Pact of the League of Arab States,

Pursuant to the provisions of article 6 of the Pact of the League of Arab States,
- وبناء على أحكام المادة السادسة من ميثاق جامعة الدول العربية،

It underlines the signatories' commitment to the Pact of the League of Arab States and the Charter of the United Nations, as well as all other international instruments to which they are parties.
وتؤكد التزام الأطراف الموقعة على ميثاق جامعة الدول العربية وميثاق الأمم المتحدة، بالإضافة إلى الصكوك الدولية الأخرى التي هي أطراف فيها.

Invoking the purposes and principles set forth in the Pact of the League of Arab States,
- واستنادا إلى اﻷهداف والمبادئ التي يحددها ميثاق جامعة الدول العربية،

Article 5 of the Pact of the League of Arab States, adopted on 22 March 1945, provides that:
49 - تنص المادة 5 من ميثاق جامعة الدول العربية، المعتمد في 22 آذار/مارس 1945()، على ما يلي:

The Council affirms that Iraq's invasion and occupation of Kuwait were a violation of the inter-Arab and international covenants and of the international rule of law. It is therefore incumbent on Iraq to acknowledge that it violated the Pact of the League of Arab States and the Joint Defence and Economic Cooperation Treaty between the States of the Arab League, as well as the Charter of the United Nations, when it occupied the State of Kuwait.
ويؤكد المجلس اﻷعلى بأن قيام العراق بغزو واحتلال دولة الكويت، هو خرق للمواثيق وللشرعية العربية والدولية، ولذلك فإنه يتحتم على العراق الاعتراف بأنه قد انتهك ميثاق جامعة الدول العربية واتفاقية الدفاع العربي المشترك، وكذلك ميثاق اﻷمم المتحدة باحتلاله دولة الكويت.

68. In article 6 of the Constitution of the Republic of Yemen, the State affirmed its adherence to the Charter of the United Nations, the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, the Pact of the League of Arab States and the generally recognized rules of international law, thereby confirming its commitment to the welfare of children who are victims of conflicts.
٧٦- أكدت الجمهورية اليمنية في النص الذي ورد في المادة ٦ من الدستور، على العمل بميثاق اﻷمم المتحدة، واﻹعلان العالمي لحقوق اﻹنسان، وميثاق جامعة الدول العربية، وقواعد القانون الدولي المعترف بها بصورة عامة، وعلى رعاية اﻷطفال الذين يقعون ضحية النزاعات.

With regard to the status of the Covenant in the hierarchy of domestic legislation, he recalled that article 6 of the Yemeni Constitution affirmed the State's acceptance of the Charter of the United Nations, the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, the Pact of the League of Arab States and the generally recognized principles of international law.
10- وفيما يخص وضع العهد في التدرج الهرمي للتشريعات المحلية، ذكّر بأن المادة 6 من الدستور اليمني تؤكد قبول الدولة لميثاق الأمم المتحدة والشرعة الدولية لحقوق الإنسان، وميثاق جامعة الدول العربية وكذلك المبادئ المعترف بها عموماً للقانون الدولي.

8. Article 6 of the Yemeni Constitution stipulates: " The State affirms its adherence to the Charter of the United Nations, the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, the Pact of the League of Arab States and the generally recognized principles of international law. "
8- وقد أورد الدستور اليمني في مادته رقم 6 ما نصه " تؤكد الدولة العمل بميثاق الأمم المتحدة والإعلان العالمي لحقوق الإنسان وميثاق جامعة الدول العربية وقواعد القانون الدولي المعترف بها بصورة عامة " .

Recalling the provisions set forth in the annex to the Pact of the League of Arab States relating to the regular periodic convening of the Summit-level Council of the League,
- استنادا إلى ما جاء في ملحق الميثاق الخاص بآلية الانعقاد الدوري المنتظم لرئاسة مجلس الجامعة على مستوى القمة،
