Yesterday, 13 August 2013, the President of the Republic of Nicaragua, Daniel Ortega, delivered an address marking the thirty-third anniversary of Nicaragua's Naval Force, in which, he said, inter alia, that Nicaragua intended to reclaim sovereignty over the Costa Rican province of Guanacaste, and that he was considering bringing a case before the International Court of Justice for that purpose.
