The Council will recall that according to the provisions of the General Peace Agreement (S/24635 and Corr.1, annex), the new Mozambican Defence Force was to be a volunteer army composed of 30,000 soldiers, 15,000 from the Government and 15,000 from RENAMO ranks.

The positive outcome of that meeting, namely, the agreement on the issues of territorial administration and police, has been recognized by Security Council resolution 863 (1993), in which all parties are urged to implement without delay all the provisions of the General Peace Agreement so that the elections can be held in October 1994 at the latest.
والنتائج اﻹيجابية التي أسفر عنها هذا الاجتماع وهي الاتفاق على قضايا إدارة اﻷراضي والشرطة، قد اعترف بها قرار مجلس اﻷمن ٨٦٣ )١٩٩٣(، الذي حث كل اﻷطراف على أن تنفذ دون إبطاء كل أحكام اتفاق السلم العام حتى يمكن إجراء الانتخابات في وقت أقصاه تشرين اﻷول/اكتوبر ١٩٩٤.

6. Invites the Government of Mozambique and RENAMO to cooperate fully with the Secretary-General and his Special Representative in their efforts to promote a resolution of these difficulties and to agree without delay to the revised timetable for the implementation of the provisions of the General Peace Agreement on the basis of the general parameters described in paragraphs 21-23 of the report of the Secretary-General;
٦ - يدعو حكومة موزامبيق وحركة المقاومة الوطنية الموزامبيقية أن تتعاونا تعاونا كاملا مع اﻷمين العام وممثله الخاص فيما يبذلانه من جهود للعمل على حل هذه الصعوبات، وأن توافقا دون تأخير على الجدول الزمني المنقح لتنفيذ أحكام اتفاق السلم العام على أساس البارامترات العامة الوارد وصفها في الفقرات ٢١ - ٢٣ من تقرير اﻷمين العام؛

All this demonstrates that the groundless accusations against the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan of delaying the implementation of the provisions of the General Peace Agreement are nothing other than deliberate disinformation to the world community.
وهذا كله يدل على أن الاتهامات التي لا أساس لها والموجهة ضد حكومة جمهورية طاجيكستان بتأخير تنفيذ أحكام اتفاق السلام العام ليست سوى عملية مقصودة لتضليل المجتمع العالمي.
