It also endorsed the system of follow-up to the reports of the Unit (see A/52/34, annex I), and in that connection invited the Unit to include in its annual reports approved recommendations that had not been implemented and requested the system to be implemented expeditiously.

Delays in submission of comments on the reports of the Unit by secretariats, delays in consideration or non-consideration by legislative organs and failure by the latter to adopt specific resolutions/decisions on recommendations may all impact negatively on the achievement of expected accomplishments.

The General Assembly, by its decision 46/446, acknowledged receipt of the annual report of the Unit for 1990-1991, took note of its work programme for the same period and decided, inter alia, to conduct during its forty-seventh session, an in-depth discussion of the reports of the Unit for the periods 1990-1991 and 1992-1993.
٩ - وقد أعلنت الجمعية العامة، بمقررها ٤٦/٤٤٦، استلامها تقرير وحدة التفتيش المشتركة السنوي عن الفترة ١٩٩٠-١٩٩١، وأحاطت علما ببرنامج عمل الوحدة للفترة نفسها وقررت، في جملة أمور، اجراء مناقشة متعمقة في دورتها السابعة واﻷربعين لتقريري وحدة التفتيش المشتركة عن الفترتين ١٩٩٠-١٩٩١ و ١٩٩٢-١٩٩٣.
