101. Against the inclusion of paragraph (5), it was stated that the Rules were of a contractual nature and directed to the parties whereas the UNCITRAL Arbitration Model Law was an instrument of a legislative nature, directed to legislators, and the need to provide detailed regulation as existed in the context of the revision of the UNCITRAL Arbitration Model Law did not apply in the context of the revision of the Rules.

17. The Working Group recalled that it had concluded a first reading of articles 1 to 21 at its forty-sixth session (A/CN.9/619) and agreed to resume discussions on the revision of the Rules on the basis of document A/CN.9/WG.II/WP.145/Add.1 and the proposed revisions contained therein.
17- واستذكر الفريق العامل أنه قد أكمل قراءةً أولى للمواد من 1 إلى 21 في دورته السادسة والأربعين (A/CN.9/619) واتفق على استئناف المناقشات بشأن تنقيح القواعد استنادا إلى الوثيقة A/CN.9/WG.II/WP.145/Add.1 والتنقيحات المقترحة الواردة فيها. الفصل الثالث- إجراءات التحكيم

It has been considered appropriate to inform the Commission about the activities of the Secretary-General of the Permanent Court of Arbitration ( " the PCA Secretary-General " ) under the Rules, including to facilitate the current discussions on the revision of the Rules.
2- واعتُبر من المناسب إطلاع اللجنة على الأنشطة التي يضطلع بها الأمين العام لمحكمة التحكيم الدائمة ( " الأمين العام للمحكمة " ) عملا بالقواعد، لأغراض منها تيسير المناقشات الدائرة حاليا بشأن تنقيح القواعد.

The Working Group recalled that it had concluded a second reading of articles 27 to 39 of the draft revised Rules at its fifty-first session (A/CN.9/684) and agreed to resume discussions on the revision of the Rules on the basis of document A/CN.9/WG.II/WP.157 and its addenda 1 and 2.
15- استذكر الفريق العامل أنه كان قد اختتم قراءته الثانية للمواد من 27 إلى 39 من مشروع القواعد المنقّحة في دورته الحادية والخمسين (A/CN.9/684) وأنه اتفق على استئناف المناقشات بشأن تنقيح القواعد بناء على الوثيقة A/CN.9/WG.II/WP.157 وإضافتيها Add.1 وAdd.2.
