53. In addition, article 35 of the Convention on the Rights of the Child provides that States parties shall take all appropriate national, bilateral and multilateral measures to prevent the abduction of, the sale of or traffic in children for any purpose or in any form.

Article 21 of the Convention on the Rights of the Child provides that States parties that recognize and/or permit the system of adoption shall ensure that the best interests of the child shall be the paramount consideration and sets out certain conditions to ensure the safeguard of the child in both national and intercountry adoption processes.
34- تنص المادة 21 من اتفاقية حقوق الطفل على أن تضمن الدول التي تقر و/أو تجيز نظام التبني إيلاء مصالح الطفل الفضلى الاعتبار الأول، وتحدد شروطاً معينة لضمان صون مصالح الطفل في إطار عمليات التبني على الصعيدين الوطني والدولي.

Article 31, paragraph 2, of the Convention on the Rights of the Child provides that " States Parties shall respect and promote the right of the child to participate fully in cultural and artistic life and shall encourage the provision of appropriate and equal opportunities for cultural, artistic, recreational and leisure activity " .
٢٨٢- وتنص الفقرة ٢ من المادة ١٣ من اتفاقية حقوق الطفل على أن " تحترم الدول اﻷطراف وتعزز حق الطفل في المشاركة الكاملة في الحياة الثقافية والفنية وتشجع على توفير فرص ملائمة ومتساوية للنشاط الثقافي والفني والاستجمامي وأنشطة أوقات الفراغ " .

39. Article 45 of the Convention on the Rights of the Child provides that specialized agencies, UNICEF and other United Nations organs shall be entitled to be represented at the consideration of the implementation of such provisions of the Convention as fall within the scope of their mandate.
٣٩ - تنص المادة ٤٥ من اتفاقية حقوق الطفل على أنه يحق للوكالات المتخصصة، واليونيسيف وغيرها من أجهزة اﻷمم المتحدة أن تكون ممثلة لدى النظر في تنفيذ ما يدخل في نطاق ولايتها من أحكام الاتفاقية.

In a provision similar to article 28 (2) of the Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination against Women, article 51 (2) of the Convention on the Rights of the Child provides that: " A reservation incompatible with the object and purpose of the present Convention shall not be permitted " .
