The SBSTA decided to consider, at its eleventh session, the scientific and methodological aspects of the proposal by Brazil, and invited the delegation of Brazil to further inform the SBSTA of the results of its workshop and provide it with other relevant information at that session.

At the same meeting the SBSTA took note of a report on an expert meeting on the scientific and methodological aspects of the proposal by Brazil held from 8 to 9 September 2003 in Berlin, Germany.

3. The SBSTA invited the delegation of Brazil and other Parties to send to the secretariat information on the scientific and methodological aspects of, and related information on, the Brazilian proposal and to make this information available on its web site for use by experts.

The SBSTA invited research institutions and scientists involved in the review of the scientific and methodological aspects of the proposal by Brazil, and those interested in becoming involved in future work, to provide information to Parties, inter alia, on the following:
(ح) ودعت الهيئة الفرعية معاهد البحوث والعلماء المشاركين في استعراض الجوانب العلمية والمنهجية للاقتراح المقدم من البرازيل، والمعاهد والعلماء المهتمين بالمشاركة في الأعمال المقبلة، إلى تقديم معلومات إلى الأطراف عن جملة أمور منها ما يلي:

The SBSTA encouraged Parties to pursue and support the research effort on the scientific and methodological aspects of the proposal by Brazil as recommended in document FCCC/SBSTA/2001/INF.2 and to communicate such activities to the secretariat;
(ج) وشجعت الهيئة الفرعية للمشورة العلمية والتكنولوجية الأطراف على مواصلة ودعم جهود البحث بشأن الجوانب العلمية والمنهجية للاقتراح المقدم من البرازيل على نحو ما أوصي به في الوثيقة FCCC/SBSTA/2001/INF.2، وإبلاغ الأمانة بهذه الأنشطة؛

The SBSTA welcomed the offer by the delegation of Brazil to host a workshop to further understanding of the scientific and methodological aspects of the remainder of the proposal and invited that delegation to report back to the SBSTA, at its ninth session, on the workshop (see FCCC/SBSTA/1998/6, para. 51).

57- وطلبت الهيئة الفرعية للمشورة العلمية والتكنولوجية من الأمانة، في دورتها السابعة عشرة، أن تنظم على هامش الدورة العشرين للهيئة الفرعية لقاء جانبيا يتعلق بنتائج عمل مؤسسات البحث والعلماء فيما يتصل بالجوانب العلمية والمنهجية من الاقتراح الذي قدمته البرازيل.

The SBSTA decided to review the progress of the work on the scientific and methodological aspects of the proposal by Brazil at its twenty-third session.
(ي) وقررت الهيئة الفرعية استعراض تقدم الأعمال المتعلقة بالجوانب العلمية والمنهجية للاقتراح المقدم من البرازيل في دورتها الثالثة والعشرين.
