The present report is submitted in pursuance of paragraph 14 of Security Council resolution 1246 (1999) of 11 June 1999, in which the Council requested me to keep it closely informed of the situation in East Timor and to continue to report to it every 14 days on the implementation of its resolutions and of the Tripartite Agreements and on the security situation in East Timor.
