The court first referred to the view that according to a general principle underlying CISG, the seller's place of business governs all questions relating to payment, at least where the parties did not agree otherwise, and therefore also governs the question of currency.
أشارت المحكمة أولا إلى الرأي المستند إلى أحد المبادئ العامة التي تقوم عليها اتفاقية عقود البيع الدولي للبضائع، ومفاده أن مكان عمل البائع يُنظّم جميع المسائل المتعلقة بالدفع، أقلّه في الحالات التي لا يتم الاتفاق فيها على خلاف ذلك، ما ينطبق أيضا على مسألة العملة.

The Court did not choose between the alternatives since in the case at hand the result was the same (currency of the seller's place of business).

For example, when the obligation to deliver consists in putting the goods at the disposal of the buyer in the seller's place of business (article 31 (c)), the buyer must either remove the goods or have them removed by a third party of its own choice.
