Two new special mechanisms were created in 2000, the Special Representative of the Secretary-General on the situation of human rights defenders and the Special Rapporteur on human rights of migrants.
وقد أنشئت في عام 2000 آليتان خاصتان جديدتان، هما آلية الممثل الخاص للأمين العام بشأن حالة المدافعين عن حقوق الإنسان وآلية المقرر الخاص المعني بحقوق الإنسان للمهاجرين.
