The main purpose of the seminar was to address the benefits of adherence to the Moon Agreement and the reasons why some States had not adhered to the Agreement with a view to providing valuable input to the discussion of the Subcommittee and the Working Group on the Status and Application of the Five United Nations Treaties on Outer Space.

98- كما اتفقت اللجنة أيضا على ضرورة استمرار اللجنة الفرعية والفريق العامل في تلقي أكبر قدر من المعلومات عن الأمور التي لها مساس باستخدام مصادر القدرة النووية في الفضاء الخارجي، وأي مساهمة متعلقة بتحسين نطاق المبادئ وتطبيقها.

The Committee also agreed that the Subcommittee and the Working Group should continue to receive as much input as possible on matters affecting the use of nuclear power sources in outer space and any contribution related to improving the scope and application of the Principles.
110- واتفقت اللجنة أيضا على ضرورة استمرار اللجنة الفرعية والفريق العامل في تلقي أكبر قدر ممكن من المعلومات عن الأمور التي لها مساس باستخدام مصادر القدرة النووية في الفضاء الخارجي، وأي مساهمة متعلقة بتحسين نطاق المبادئ وتطبيقها.

The Committee endorsed the recommendation of the Subcommittee that the item should be retained on the agenda for the thirty-second session of the Subcommittee and that the time allocated to the topic in both the Subcommittee and the Working Group should be adjusted as appropriate (A/AC.105/571, para. 62), taking into consideration that no initiative for a revision of the Principles has been taken so far.
٩٦ ـ وأيدت اللجنة توصية اللجنة الفرعية بإدراج هذا البند في جدول أعمال الدورة الثانية والثلاثين للجنة الفرعية، وبتعديل الوقت المخصص لمناقشة هذا الموضوع في كل من اللجنة الفرعية والفريق العامل حسب الاقتضاء )A/AC.105/571، الفقرة ٢٦(، مع مراعاة أنه لم تتخذ حتى اﻵن أي مبادرة لتنقيح تلك المبادئ.

It was considered that the Subcommittee and the Working Group on nuclear power sources should continue to receive the widest inputs on matters affecting the use of nuclear power sources in outer space and any contribution related to improving the scope and applications, as well as better aligning the Principles with the relevant recommendations of the IAEA and the ICRP.
واعتبر أنه ينبغي على اللجنة الفرعية والفريق العامل المعني بمصادر الطاقة النووية مواصلة تلقي أكبر قدر من المعلومات المتعلقة بمسائل تؤثر على استخدام مصادر الطاقة النووية في الفضاء الخارجي وأية إسهامات تتعلق بتحسين النطاق والتطبيقات، باﻹضافة الى توافق المبادئ على نحو أفضل مع التوصيات ذات الصلة الصادرة عن الوكالة الدولية للطاقة الذرية واللجنة الدولية للحماية من اﻹشعاع.

64. The Committee agreed that regular discussions on this issue should continue at future sessions and that the Subcommittee and the Working Group on nuclear power sources should continue to receive the widest input on matters affecting the use of nuclear power sources in outer space and any contribution related to improving the scope and application of the Principles.
٦٤ - واتفقت اللجنة على أنه ينبغي أن تستمر مناقشات منتظمة حول هذه المسألة في دورات قادمة، وأنه ينبغي أن يستمر حصول اللجنة الفرعية والفريق العامل المعني بمصادر الطاقة النووية على أوسع طائفة من المدخلات بخصوص المسائل التي تؤثر على استخدام مصادر الطاقة النووية في الفضاء الخارجي وأي مساهمة تتعلق بتحسين نطاق المبادئ وانطباقها.

٨٩ - ووافقت اللجنة أيضا على أنه ينبغي أن يستمر في الدورات المقبلة للجنة الفرعية العلمية والتقنية اجراء مناقشات منتظمة حول المسألة، وأن اللجنة الفرعية والفريق العامل ينبغي أن يستمرا في تلقي أكبر قدر من المدخلات بشأن المسائل التي تمس استخدام مصادر الطاقة النووية في الفضاء الخارجي وأية مساهمة تتعلق بتحسين نطاق وتطبيق المبادئ.
