4. Requests the Institute, in accordance with its mandate, to actively participate in and contribute to the review and appraisal of the implementation of the Beijing Declaration and Platform for Action and the outcome document of the twentythird special session of the General Assembly in the context of the fortyninth session of the Commission on the Status of Women;

Welcoming the contributions of the Institute to the achievement of the Millennium Development Goals, the implementation of the Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination against Women and the implementation of the Beijing Declaration and Platform for Action and the outcome document of the twentythird special session of the General Assembly,
