14. At the national level, the Expert Meeting suggested that Governments take the necessary steps to implement the UN Guidelines for Consumer Protection, as extended in 1999 to cover sustained consumption.
14- على المستوى الوطني، اقترح اجتماع الخبراء أن تتخذ الحكومات التدابير اللازمة لتنفيذ مبادئ الأمم المتحدة التوجيهية لحماية المستهلك التي وسّع نطاقها في عام 1999 لتشمل الاستهلاك المستدام.

2.3 Number of countries taking measures to implement the UN Guidelines on Justice in Matters Involving Child Victims and Witnesses of Crime.
2-3 عدد البلدان التي اتخذت تدابير لتنفيذ مبادئ الأمم المتحدة التوجيهية بشأن العدالة في الأمور المتعلقة بالأطفال ضحايا الجريمة والشهود عليها.

UNCTAD should, upon request, provide member countries with technical assistance in adopting or reforming and better enforcing consumer protection and competition laws and in implementing the UN Guidelines for Consumer Protection as expanded in 1999.
25- وينبغي للأونكتاد أن يقدم إلى البلدان الأعضاء - عند طلبها - المساعدة التقنية في مجال اعتماد أو إصلاح القوانين المتعلقة بالمنافسة وحماية المستهلكين وإنفاذها بصورة أفضل وكذلك في مجال تنفيذ مبادئ الأمم المتحدة التوجيهية لحماية المستهلك بصيغتها الموسعة في عام 1999.

UNCTAD should cooperate with other relevant international organizations and consumer associations with a view to taking stock of ongoing work, disseminating information and creating synergies towards an integrated approach for more effective implementation of the UN Guidelines for Consumer Protection.
26- وينبغي للأونكتاد أن يتعاون مع سائر المنظمات الدولية المختصة وكذلك مع رابطات المستهلكين بهدف تقييم الأعمال الجارية ونشر المعلومات وإقامة علاقات التضافر والتآزر من أجل اتباع نهج متكامل لتنفيذ مبادئ الأمم المتحدة التوجيهية لحماية المستهلك بمزيد من الفعالية.

Work aimed at extending the UN Guidelines on Consumer Protection should lead to, or better take into account:
(ب) ينبغي للأنشطة الرامية إلى توسيع نطاق مبادئ الأمم المتحدة التوجيهية بشأن حماية المستهلكين أن تحقق أو أن تراعي على نحو أفضل ما يلي:

(a) At the national and regional levels, they invited Governments to take the necessary steps to implement the UN Guidelines on Consumer Protection (1999) and to incorporate the consumer protection dimension into their macroeconomic policies and legal frameworks.
(أ) على الصعيدين الوطني والإقليمي، دعا الخبراء الحكومات إلى اتخاذ التدابير اللازمة لتنفيذ مبادئ الأمم المتحدة التوجيهية بشأن حماية المستهلك (1999) وإدراج مسألة حماية المستهلك في سياساتها الاقتصادية الكلية وفي أطرها القانونية.

Governments are invited to take the necessary steps to implement the UN Guidelines for Consumer Protection (1999) as a matter of urgency and in this regard incorporate the consumer protection dimension into their macroeconomic policies and legal frameworks.
7- إن الحكومات مدعوة إلى اتخاذ الخطوات اللازمة لتنفيـذ مبادئ الأمم المتحدة التوجيهية لحماية المستهلك (1999) كمسألة ملحة والقيام في هذا الخصوص بإدراج مسألة حماية المستهلكين في سياساتها الاقتصادية الكلية وفي أطرها القانونية.

UNCTAD should strengthen its institutional machinery to promote consumer interests, to monitor implementation of the UN Guidelines on Consumer Protection and to consider their extension, taking into account recent developments in globalization and advances in information technology.
(أ) ينبغي للأونكتاد أن يعزز آليته المؤسسية من أجل تدعيم مصالح المستهلكين، ورصد تنفيذ مبادئ الأمم المتحدة التوجيهية بشأن حماية المستهلكين والنظر في توسيع نطاقها، آخذاً في اعتباره التطورات الأخيرة في العولمة والتقدم المحرز في تكنولوجيا المعلومات.

The United Nations is called upon to take stock of the UN Guidelines for Consumer Protection and review the extent of their implementation, and report to member States through its appropriate intergovernmental machinery.
2- تدعى الأمم المتحدة إلى تقييم المبادئ التوجيهية للأمم المتحدة لحماية المستهلكين وإلى إعادة النظر في نطاق تنفيذها، وتقديم تقرير عن ذلك إلى الدول الأعضاء عن طريق آليتها الحكومية الدولية الملائمة.
