By its resolution 1038 (1996) of 15 January 1996, the Security Council authorized the United Nations military observers to continue monitoring the demilitarization of the Prevlaka peninsula for a period of three months and increased the authorized strength from 14 to 28 military observers.
وفي القرار ١٠٣٨ )١٩٩٦( المؤرخ ١٥ كانون الثاني/يناير ١٩٩٦، أذن مجلس اﻷمن لمراقبي اﻷمم المتحدة العسكريين بمواصلة رصد تجريد شبه جزيرة بريفلاكا من السلاح والقوات، وذلك لمدة ثلاثة أشهر، وبزيادة عددهم المأذون به من ١٤ إلى ٢٨ مراقبا عسكريا.

The Council subsequently, by resolution 1038 (1996) of 15 January 1996, authorized the United Nations military observers to continue monitoring the demilitarization of the Prevlaka peninsula.
