Following consultations by the United Nations regional groups, the Conference elected the following Bureau in accordance with rule 22 of the rules of procedure:

(c) At the end of the fifth preambular paragraph, the following phrase was inserted: " and noting the low representation from the United Nations regional groups of African, Asian, Eastern European, and Latin American and Caribbean States in the staff of the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights " ;
(ج) في نهاية الفقرة الخامسة من الديباجة، أضيف ما يلي: " وإذ تلاحظ انخفاض تمثيل مجموعات الأمم المتحدة الإقليمية لدول أفريقيا وآسيا وأوروبا الشرقية وأمريكا اللاتينية ومنطقة البحر الكاريبي ضمن موظفي مفوضية الأمم المتحدة لحقوق الإنسان " .

The Conference of the Parties may therefore wish to encourage the United Nations regional groups to meet during the course of the meeting to elect officers to serve on the Bureau from the end of the eleventh meeting until the end of the twelfth meeting and to inform the Conference of the Parties of the results of such elections.
6 - وقد يرغب مؤتمر الأطراف بالتالي في أن يُشجع المجموعات الإقليمية التابعة للأمم المتحدة على أن تلتقي خلال هذا الاجتماع لانتخاب أعضاءٍ للعمل في المكتب، وذلك اعتباراً من نهاية الاجتماع الحادي عشر وحتى نهاية الاجتماع الثاني عشر، ولإبلاغ مؤتمر الأطراف بنتائج هذه الانتخابات.

The membership of this bureau will reflect on an equitable basis the United Nations regional groups.
وتعكس عضوية المكتب المجموعات الإقليمية في الأمم المتحدة على أساس عادل.
