The UNHCR Sub-Committee of the Whole on International Protection has indicated that the expulsion of a refugee should take into consideration the admissibility of the refugee to a State other than the State of origin.

(e) Requests the High Commissioner to report to the Executive Committee at its forty-sixth session on the follow-up to the PARinAc process and to keep the Sub-Committee of the Whole on International Protection and the Sub-Committee on Administrative and Financial Matters, as appropriate, informed about progress made.

In May 1993, UNHCR presented to the Executive Committee's Sub-Committee of the Whole on International Protection a note on certain aspects of sexual violence against refugee women (A/AC.96/822) and a paper on the personal security of refugees (EC/1993/SCP/CRP.3).

2. In keeping with the wishes of the Executive Committee (A/AC.96/821, paras. 22 (b) and (c)), the High Commissioner has kept the Sub-Committee on Administrative and Financial Matters (SCAF) (EC/1994/SC.2/CRP.3) and the Sub-Committee of the Whole on International Protection (SCIP) (EC/1994/SCP/CRP.4) informed of the progress in the implementation of the recommendations.

UNHCR's experiences in several major refugee situations prompted the paper Comprehensive and Regional Approaches to Refugee Problems (EC/1994/SCP/CRP.3), presented to the Sub-Committee of the Whole on International Protection at its meeting in May 1994.
