Mindful that United Nations visiting missions provide an effective means of assessing the situation in those Territories and of ascertaining the wishes and aspirations of the peoples thereof regarding their future status,
وإذ تضع في اعتبارها أن بعثات الأمم المتحدة الزائرة تتيح وسيلة فعالة لتقييم الحالة في تلك الأقاليم والتحقق من رغبات وتطلعات شعوبها فيما يتصل بالمركز الذي تريده لنفسها مستقبلا،

Mindful that United Nations visiting missions provide an effective means of assessing the situation in those Territories and of ascertaining the wishes and aspirations of the peoples thereof regarding their future status,
وإذ تضع في اعتبارها أن بعثات الأمم المتحدة الزائرة تتيح وسيلة فعالة لتقييم الحالة في تلك الأقاليم والتحقق من رغبات وأماني شعوبها فيما يتصل بالمركز الذي تريده لنفسها مستقبلا،

1. Requests the administering Power, bearing in mind the views of the people of the Territory ascertained through a democratic process, to keep the Secretary-General informed of the wishes and aspirations of the people regarding their future political status;
١ - تطلب إلى الدولة القائمة باﻹدارة، آخذة في الاعتبار آراء شعب اﻹقليم التي جرى التحقق منها من خلال عملية ديمقراطية، أن تُبقي اﻷمين العام على علم برغبات وتطلعات هذا الشعب فيما يتعلق بوضعه السياسي في المستقبل؛

They reiterated the importance of such missions in raising public awareness of decolonization issues and possible options available for self-determination, while assessing the situation in those Territories, and of ascertaining the wishes and aspirations of the peoples thereof regarding their future status, and called on the administering Powers to cooperate in facilitating such visiting missions.
وكرر المشاركون التأكيد على أهمية هذه البعثات في توعية جماهير الأقاليم بمسائل إنهاء الاستعمار والخيارات الممكنة المتاحة لتقرير المصير، وتقييم الحالة فيها والوقوف على رغبات وطموحات شعوبها فيما يتعلق بوضعها المستقبلي، ودعوا الدول القائمة بالإدارة إلى التعاون على تيسير تنظيم مثل هذه البعثات.

" 14 - تؤكد من جديد أن بعثات الأمم المتحدة الزائرة التي توفد إلى الأقاليم هي وسيلة فعالة لتقييم الوضع في الأقاليم، فضلا عن التعرف على رغبات وطموحات سكانها، وتهيب بالدول القائمة بالإدارة أن تواصل تعاونها مع اللجنة الخاصة في الاضطلاع بولايتها وتيسير البعثات الزائرة التي توفد إلى الأقاليم؛

It also took note of the memorandum presented by the True Representatives of the Kashmiri people and reaffirmed the OIC's commitment to promote a just and peaceful solution of the Jammu and Kashmir dispute in accordance with the wishes and aspirations of the Kashmiri people.

But my delegation's understanding is that the word “effective” is intended to relate to the effectiveness of the visiting mission in ascertaining the wishes and aspirations of the people of the Territories.
إلا أن وفد بلدي يفهم أن كلمة " فعﱠالة " يراد بها أن تكون متصلة بفعالية البعثة الزائرة في التحقــق من رغبات ومطامح شعوب اﻷقاليم.
