(a) The Department of Peacekeeping Operations has undertaken steps to create appropriate tactical and force-level reserves in mission areas. The Department has taken the initiative to develop enhanced rapidly deployable capacities so as to reinforce operations in crises and is working closely with the Working Group of the Special Committee to develop this concept.
