His delegation appreciated the effort made by the Commission to make substantive progress in the consultative process, including the establishment of the Working Group on the Consultative Process and Working Arrangements of ICSC, comprising members of the Commission, the Consultative Committee on Administrative Questions (CCAQ) and representatives of the two staff associations.

38. the Working Group on the Consultative Process and Working Arrangements of ICSC was established by the Commission at its spring 1997 session in response to a request by the Coordinating Committee for International Staff Unions and Associations of the United Nations (CCISUA), supported by ACC and the Federation of International Civil Servants’ Associations (FICSA), to review the functioning of the Commission.
