(o) Relevant offices and bodies of the United Nations working on different issues relevant to the problem of prison overcrowding should strive to better coordinate their activities and initiatives in order to more effectively assist countries in reducing prison overcrowding;
(س) ينبغي لمكاتب وهيئات الأمم المتحدة ذات الصلة التي تُعنى بمختلف المسائل ذات الصلة بمشكلة اكتظاظ السجون أن تسعى جاهدة إلى تحسين تنسيق أنشطتها ومبادراتها من أجل مساعدة البلدان، بفعالية أكبر، على خفض اكتظاظ السجون؛

At that session, the Assembly decided to proclaim the International Week of Science and Peace, to take place each year during the week in which 11 November falls; and requested the Secretary-General to invite Member States to report to him on their activities and initiatives in connection with this event, and to report thereon to the Assembly at its forty-fifth session (resolution 43/61).
وفي تلك الدورة، قررت الجمعية العامة أن تعلن " الاسبوع الدولي للعلم والسلام " الذي سينظم كل سنة خلال الاسبوع الذي يحل فيه يوم ١١ تشرين الثاني/نوفمبر؛ وطلبت الى اﻷمين العام أن يدعو الدول اﻷعضاء الى ابلاغه عن أنشطتها ومبادراتها المرتبطة بهذه المناسبة، وأن يقدم تقريرا عن ذلك الى الجمعية العامة في دورتها الخامسة واﻷربعين )القرار ٤١/٦١(.
