75. The Special Representative visited Colombia from 7 to 9 April 2000 to attend the Thirteenth Ministerial Conference of the Movement of Non-Aligned Countries, held at Cartagena.

I have the honour to inform you that in the context of the activities of the United Nations Standing Advisory Committee on Security Questions in Central Africa, the Thirteenth Ministerial Meeting was held in N'Djamena from 2 to 6 May 2000.
يشرفني أن أحيطكم علما بأنه انعقد الاجتماع الوزاري الثالث عشر في الفترة من 2 إلى 6 أيار/مايو 2000 في نجامينا، في إطار أنشطة لجنة الأمم المتحدة الاستشارية الدائمة المعنية بمسائل الأمن في وسط أفريقيا.

The Committee welcomed the visit of the Secretary-General of the United Nations to several countries of the subregion on the occasion of the Thirteenth Ministerial Meeting of the United Nations Standing Advisory Committee on Security Questions in Central Africa, and adopted a Declaration on that topic at the close of its work.

Bearing in mind the related recommendations of the Thirteenth Ministerial Conference of the Movement of Non-Aligned Countries, held at Cartagena, Colombia, on 8 and 9 April 2000, which proposed, inter alia, the declaration of a new decade for the elimination of colonialism, and which supported the effective implementation of the related plan of action,
