1- يبدأ نفاذ هذه الاتفاقية بعد ستة أشهر من تاريخ إيداع الصك الثالث من صكوك التصديق أو القبول أو الإقرار أو الانضمام.

تدخل هذه الاتفاقية حيز النفاذ بعد أن تكون قد أودعت لدى الأمين العام للأمم المتحدة عاشر وثيقة من وثائق التصديق عليها أو الانضمام إليها.

For States who waive the entry into force requirements, this Convention shall enter into force on the 30th day following the date of deposit of their instrument of ratification or accession. XVI.
بالنسبة للدول التي تتنازل عن شروط النفاذ، تصبح هذه الاتفاقية نافذة في اليوم الثلاثين التالي لتاريخ إيداع صك تصديقها عليها أو انضمامها إليها.
